  For those friends and relatives out there who occasionally make snide remarks about and gentle jabs at my region of birth, I would like to bring to your attention a fantastic post on a treasure of the South: Sweet Tea.

Y'all Yankees may not appreciate the fine things of life but surely we can agree on the superiority of Sweet Tea (and yes, it must be capitalized).

Many have tried to replicate this nectar of the gods (including Arizona Teas and my brother's ex-girlfiend), but I must admit that BTQ's recipe looks to be a winner. And his analysis of this cultural icon is even sweeter.
